Parkin Costain and Jake Hopfinger are household names for anyone who follows professional freeride skiing. The Teton Gravity Research (TGR) athletes have appeared in many films, competed on world circuits, and in 2020, they became the first two skiers to ever land double backflips at the Kings and Queens of Corbet’s Couloir competition at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort.

In the TGR short film, Back to Corbet’s: The Untold Story of Jackson Hole’s Historical Double Backflip, Costain and Hopfinger return to Jackson Hole in summer to reflect on everything it took to send it on the doubles. They talk about the training, the build-up, and the moment that they say changed everything. Then, they rip mountain bikes down one of the resort’s raddest singletrack trails.

Part bike movie, part ski movie, this TGR film provides some insight into what it took to pull off the historic double backflips.
