Winter season of life

Since entering the winter season of my life, the hours seem to pass like minutes, the days like hours and the years like weeks UNTIL…this election year. Now it seems as if this year will never come to an end.

I am way passed ready for Election Day to come and go. Politics is not high on my enjoyable list for sure at the moment.

Maybe, just maybe after all the votes are counted and January has come and gone the people that we pay to do their jobs for US, not themselves. will get down to business.

I am hopeful that 2021 will bring us a president, house and congress that cares about this country and we the people.

  1. I too voted by mail, and I love it. I am able to track each step of the process. Living in a blue state is a dream of mine. My state is so red it is almost maroon. At times I am ashamed of this state. A “blue wave” this year would be fantastic.

    • I too love voting by mail. I wish they would make mail-in voting the only way to vote in the whole country. It seems you have a very red state. It would be so nice to live in a blue state, I would consider moving to one if I was much younger.

  2. We live in rural Western PA where for every one blue sign, there are 25 red ones. (fracking, you know…) Since we vote at a rural polling place, we’ve decided to vote in person, so our vote will count immediately at 8 p.m. I don’t really think it matters, but husband is paranoid…so we are taking our mail-in ballots to the polling place…

    • I have already voted too. Sad to say my state is bright red but I am hoping it turns colors with this election. I am with you on hoping other states turn bright blue.
