When I decided to have this blog for reasons I won’t go into I chose to not use my actual name. I chose “Frony” because so few people knew me by that name.
Now that I no longer feel the need to stay totally incognito, I will be using another nickname. It is a short version of my name and a nickname that I much prefer “Mags”. For those of you who have been so kind to follow my blog I wanted to explain so you would know I am the same person just changing my name.

The redbud tree in the backyard has beautiful blooms. One of the first signs of spring in my yard. The weather is still not spring-like every day, but some of the trees and shrubs are are showing their colors.

Right now the bridal wreath is covered in pretty green leaves. Very soon it will be loaded with beautiful clusters of white flowers. The photo above was taken awhile back, I am not sure how many years ago. The shrub is much larger now.
I love Mags or Frony! And I love your photos this morning. I can’t wait until we start seeing some green grass and spring flowers around the neighbourhood. 🤗
Thank you Anne. I am thinking of you and Dan everyday, saying prayers and sending positive vibes your way. I hope you see green and colors of spring soon my sweet friend. Hugs
Thank you, Mags. I just got back from a walk in our little neighbourhood park. I don’t think I saw any green but pretty sure I burnt a few calories getting through the muddy areas. 🙄
You are welcome. Good job Anne, on burning those calories. Here is hoping the mud will be gone soon and you see some colors on your walks.
It could be a bit. There was a foot of water in some areas. 😂
Oh, my!
I am glad you told us about your name change. Otherwise, I might think you were hiding from the law. Ha, ha. Anyway, I like Mags better. Your bushes are lovely. We won’t see any of these here in New Hampshire before May/June. Take care!
LOL, thank you for laugh. My name is Maggie so Mags is a better nickname. Some of the others that have been tacked on to me are not so good. LOL I hope you share photos of your bushes and plants when they begin showing blooms and colors.
Blogs are a funny thing…when I started mine I had no idea what I was doing. All i knew, I was going to leave teaching in a few years and wanted to work in nonprofit marketing. Someone told me that I had no online presence (I had maybe 3 links on Google) and I better do some social media stuff if I ever wanted to get hired outside of education. So, I started with a blog, and not knowing anything, I used the name that was on my school email and other online documents, dkzody. And it has stuck, not only on the blog, but all of my social media sites. I have made local friends through my social media, and they all call me dkzody when they see me. It’s kind of funny how the name has become ME.
That is great that the name you chose for your blog has stuck. I think it is endearing that your local friends call you by your blog name.
Thank you for the explanation Mags. .. That redbud is so pretty. My nickname is actually Bobbie. 😁
You are welcome. My best friend in school was named Bobbie.
Love the pics. Thanks for sharing. Spring is coming.
You are welcome. Glad you enjoyed the photos.
Well Mags a name change is fine. I think whatever name you chose is fine. I had two other blogs before I got to my present blog and I chose other first names for those blogs. Finally decided to call myself by my real name – Peggy. Spring is having a hard time here in Arkansas. Frost zaps things like it did this week. They say we may have another frost in the next week. Love your redbud and bridal wreath.
Thank you, Peggy. I too have had other blogs and used different names. You are right about Arkansas having a hard time with Spring, especially north Arkansas. Everything in my yard is late leafing out and budding this year although we have had a bit warmer weather here in the central part. .
😊❤️
Love you photos, Mags. I am curious though; where did the name frony come from? (If you feel comfortable telling us.)
Thank you Joy. I have no idea who tacked that nickname on to me. All I know is there were a few in the family that called me that when I was a child.
Beautiful Spring pics, Sis! Your blog is always mindful and uplifting so I know you! It’s been such a long time since I saw a magnificent Bridal Wreath bush! I had one in a former yard. I looked forward to its beauty every Spring. Thank you for bringing such delight to the day. Happy Spring to you and Sweet Chancy Man!
Thank you, so much Sis. My dad gave me the Bridal Wreath bush. It reminds me of my granny she had one. She had a lot of beautiful flowers and bushes in her yard. You are welcome and I am glad that you find my posts uplifting. Thank you for being a faithful follower of all my blogs over the years. Happy Spring to you, Cheryl and sweet Bella.
Thank you, Sis. Sending you hugs and Chancy Man some tummy tickles.
You are welcome, Sis. Hugs and I hope your day is wonderful. Nose kisses and tummy rubs for sweet Bella.
❤
I remember when I started my blog I struggled with how much of myself to reveal (I am very private by nature). As time has gone on, though, I’ve felt safer in this spot. People are kind and supportive and – mostly – not creepy. Whether Frony or Mags, I will continue to follow your blog 🙂
It has been the same for me. Thank you, for continuing to follow my blog.
