When it is sizzling out there

When it is sizzling hot outside it is not easy to find a place to chill out and cool off.

Under the carport worked in the early morning.
The fence rail worked for a while in the early afternoon.
This little one found a rock that was damp and in the shade. That was the best place of all.

My sweet little Chancy Man starts panting by the time he gets down the steps in to the backyard. I feel sorry for him, he so wants to stay out and walk around the yard, but with the awful heat he comes right back inside.

My thoughts and prayers are with all the people who are working outside and all the wildlife. I hope we see some cooler weather soon and this is not a sign that we will have an extremely hot summer.

Your photos are adorable Mags. I don’t usually worry about the heat bothering animals around here, but I sure cringe for them when it is 30 or 40 below.

Thank you Anne. I worry about them in extreme heat and extreme cold.

I hope you, and your furry friends, keep well through your recent heat wave.

Love the pics! I pray for those who do not have AC with this terrible heat. Stay cool!

I am glad you enjoyed the squirrel photos. I too pray for those with no AC.

I think we all hope it isn’t a hellish, extra hot summer. I hope, you too, find some shade!

Thanks for sharing these pictues, Love, love, love the squirrel pictures. Showed then to my husband and we laughed about how ingenious this squirrel was at staying cool. I too feel sorry for those that work outdoors in this hot weather.

Our fox squirrels are very interesting to watch. Little characters.

        • Mags June 15, 2022 / 7:29 am

I have never seen one of those.

Fox Squirrels are suppose to be the largest squirrel in Arkansas.

I looked the up on the internet. That is what I found out too. The squirrels at my place are grey squirrels.

It amazes me at how wildlife can be so different in places not far apart.

Very true Mags. City squirrels and Country squirrels. Ha

So many elderly people don’t tolerate this k8nd of heat too. Be wary of someone who looks pale and faint.

    • Mags June 14, 2022 / 8:21 am

I am 82 and each summer gets more difficult for me.

      • Joyful2bee June 14, 2022 / 10:32 am

        Be careful for sure! Hugs!

        • Mags June 14, 2022 / 11:07 am

Will do, thank you for the hugs they are appreciated. Hug to you!

It is very hot is the US at the moment. We are on the opposite side of the world and its cold here at the moment so your critters would love it πŸ™‚

    • Mags June 13, 2022 / 7:24 pm

Oh, I would love it too. I would gladly head your direction if I could πŸ™‚ I have always wanted to visit Australia but never got the chance, too old now. I do much better in cold than heat.

We do the best we can to adapt and adjust. Your squirrel photos are really sweet!

    • Mags June 13, 2022 / 7:19 pm

Yes, we do but it is not easy at times. Thank you!
